What is ICSR?
The Institute of Complex Systems Research is an independent, privately funded, non-profit research center with the main focus in increasing the understanding of complexity science. Complexity arises in many different domains such as physics, biology, social and technological systems. The distinguishing factor is that such systems cannot be understood from the individual constituents parts, they show collective, emergent behavior that cannot be predicted from its parts. To summarize, such systems are and become more than the sum of their parts.
Can I make my thesis or take a course at the institute?
No, unfortunately not. ICSR is not an accredited academic institution and can therefore not supervise theses, hand out diplomas, or grant degrees.
Can I collaborate with ISCR?
Sure. We are always happy to collaborate with researchers around the world as long as the research topics are of mutual interest. Just contact us.
Can I apply for grants from ISCR?
No, unfortunately not. ICSR is a privatly funded research institute and does not have the ability to distribute grants.
How is ICSR funded?
ICSR is an independent research institute and relies on support and donation from philanthropic individuals.
